Smart City Strategies

This involves working with the local councils, electricity, telco, other services providers and community groups to formulate a strategy and how the city will develop using modern technologies for the benefit of the inhabitants. The process usually involves a series of workshops culminating with a published strategy document that serves to guide future infrastructure investment decisions.

Smart City readiness audits

An assessment of the existing services provided to a city and the status of the associated infrastructure with view to establishing whether or not they can be evolved into modern Smart City services.

Pre-feasibility and feasibility Studies

Scoping and formulation of ventures into projects such that feasibility studies can be undertaken to ascertain whether Smart City projects are likely to be viable and/or meet the requirements of their proponents.

Technology selection

Engineering, financial and social evaluation of technologies for particular Smart City services.Budgetary inquiries and/or RFP processes may be used to acquire the information for suppliers. The technology human interface, back office infrastructure and the integration with other Smart City solutions is taken into account.

Project Economics

Economic analysis of costs and benefits of Smart City projects using classical Discounted Cash Flow models. Sensitivity analysis is also part of the analysis to assess the impact of uncertainty (risk) on the project.

Collaboration Agreements

Project management of Smart City ventures using ISO9001 project Management systems.Project management involves coordination of suppliers towards achieving the project objectives on time, within budget and to the specified level of quality.
